Most memorable sporting achievement: It’s a bad memory but the most memorable was receiving the silver medal at the World Cup in 2010, knowing that it was a terrible feeling of losing the gold

What made you choose this sport: I was a competitive swimmer growing up who got bored of following the black line on the bottom of the pool

Who is the most influential person in your sporting career and why: My mum, for all the years she woke up at 4am to get me to training in the morning, and also the late nights

Which person do you most look up to in your sporting career and why: Roger Federer for his modesty, passion and domination of the sport

What are your ambitions both during and after your sporting career: To win gold at the London Olympics in 2012. Later, I want to get married and start a family

What is your proudest sporting moment: Watching Aussies celebrate a win, whether it is water polo (Sydney 2000) or hurdles (Sally Pearson)
