Intermediate General Principles Coaching Program (Correspondence)

Coaches must have their Club Coach (old level 1) equivalent with at least 12 months coaching experience.

The Intermediate General Principles of Coaching Course complements the water polo sports-specific component provided by AWPI Senior Club Coach Clinics (SCC) or SCC Coaching Course. The coaching principles component combined with the sport specific component will give the coach Senior Club Coaching accreditation (old level 2) within the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme.

  • Development and maturation

  • Sports medicine
  • Skill acquisition

This program is a joint initiative of AWPI and the Australian Sports Commission.

Competency Based Course

You can start and finish the course in your own time but the course must be completed by 30 June, 2011. Cost includes $75 per person includes GST, course guidelines, assessment marking and accreditation fee. The course text Intermediate Coaching General Principles Manual is to be purchased from:

Booking Terms and Conditions

  1. The fee must accompany the enrolment, otherwise the enrolment will not be accepted.
  2. Enrolment is necessary prior to the commencement of the program to secure your place.
  3. A receipt confirming the details of your booking will be issued after payment has been received.

Refunds

  • If a request for a refund is made within ten (10) working days of the program commencement, no refund of program fees will be given (including GST).
  • If a request for a refund is made (and a written request received) ten (10) working days or more prior to the program commencement, a refund will be given less a 20% administration fee of the total program fee (including GST).
  • Refunds will not be given for partial completion.
  • Refunds will be paid at the completion of the program.
