Hobart (June 30) - The
National Water Polo League Commission comprises five people, two are nominated
by AWPI, and three are elected by the National League Clubs for a two year
term. The term of NWPL Commissioner Phil Bower expires at the next NWPL Forum (he is eligible for re-election). Nominations

The three members of the Commission
elected by clubs are Philip Bower, Warren Hawtin and Danielle Woodhouse. Philip
Bower retires after two years and is eligible for re-election. NWPL Clubs are invited to nominate one NWPL Commissioner as per 1.1 above. Clubs may nominate as many persons for the positions as they wish. Please note that all nominations must be seconded by a NWPL Club Delegate. The nomination form will ask the nominating Clubs to provide an email address of the nominee so that verification can be obtained from the nominee that they accept the nomination. The nomination form will seek a brief resume of the nominee which will be circulated with the voting papers if a vote is necessary. Nominations close 5.00pm EST Friday 24 July 2009. VOTINGIf the number of nominees does not exceed one, no voting will be required. Voting papers will be distributed via email along with resumes of the candidates to all NWPL Club Delegates. All nominees will be listed on the ballot paper with the instruction to number ALL candidates in preference 1 through to "x" where "x" is the number of candidates. Each candidate must have a number against the name of the nominee for a valid vote. Each NWPL Club Delegate will have one vote per team. Clubs with two teams will be sent two ballot papers enabling a different vote between teams. Voting closes 5.00pm EST Friday 7 August 2009. DECLARATION OF POLLVotes must be returned to the Returning Officer no later than 5.00pm EST Friday 7 August 2009. Votes must number all candidates in numerical preference, starting at #1. Ballot papers that do not numerically indicate a vote for every candidate will be deemed to be invalid. The lowest ranked candidate will be eliminated and their second preference will be distributed, this process followed until one candidate is elected. NWPL Club Delegates will be advised of the successful candidates on Monday 10 August 2009 by email. Tenure will take effect at the NWPL Forum.
