Manchester, England (September 9).— Australia took some revenge over Great Britain's higher gold medal tally in Beijing by thrashing Great Britain in a two test match series in Junior Women's water polo.

Budapest, Hungary (September 1).— The world champion Australian junior women’s water polo team lost to Hungary 14-13 in Budapest.

The loss was the start of the team’s European tour and is preparation for defending the world crown won a year ago in Portugal.

Australia led 5-4 at halftime but saw the game slip away in the third quarter to fall 13-10 behind.

Australia scored three from nine on extra while stopping six of 13 against.

The team now travels to England to play matches against Great Britain.
