Sterk and Martin are both with the Aussie Sharks on their tour of Europe and for the second time in a week their abscence proved hard to overcome as the Breakers suffered their second disappointing result during that time, after drawing with the Brisbane Barracudas last Saturday.

Troy Delany once again starred for Wests along with Corrie Eames, with both players scoring three goals. Billy Miller, Chris Corbin and Sam Robertson each scored twice for the hosts.

In the women's game Queensland overcame the UNSW Killer Whales 12-8 thanks to five goals from Amy Hetzel.

In Adelaide, five goals from Ross Sinclair led the Hunter Hurricanes to a 12-11 victory over the Adelaide Jets.

The game was tied at 10-10 with 2:00 remaining but goals from Sinclair and Scott Berry secured the victory before Adelaide scored a consolation just before the end.

The women's game was equally as close, with a Lisa Callahan goal with 1:33 left in the game getting Adelaide over the line in an 8-7 victory.
