Peter gained his honour "For service to water polo as a player, referee, coach and administrator, and to the community, particularly through executive positions with a range of sporting and charitable organisations."

A leading referee at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Peter gained worldwide recognition as the official who took the officials' oath at the Olympic Games in Sydney.

A Sydney lawyer, Peter has been at the helm of AWPI for nearly 12 years and is well respected in sporting circles.

He joins AWPI Patron and Life Member Peter Montogomery AM, AWPI Director Tom Hoad AM and Secretary General John Whitehouse OAM in this prestigious club.
