Dolphin Ball a big hit in Geraldton |

Geraldton (November 19).— Some of the 50 kids who play Dolphin Ball in Geraldton, Western Australia.
The hybrid game has been established to give little kids a chance to toss the ball around in the local swimming pool.
They play in a shallow pool and get lessons in picking the ball up,
passing and shooting. They can all stand on the bottom and shoot into
smaller goals.
The object of the exercise is not to win games but to have fun in water
and get an appreciation of what the older kids are doing in Flippaball
and water polo.
Geraldton Water Polo Association President Warren Abrams said: “It’s a
chance for kids to have fun in a group environment. Our development
officer came up with the concept and we had to make smaller goals to
accommodate them in the leisure pool.
“We have had 51 kids participate so it’s a great start to the season.”
