The
Australian "Stingers" Women's team will be in Brisbane on the 17th,
18th and 19th of December to play New Zealand to see who will qualify
for the 2008 Olympic Games.
In addition
to the Olympic Qualifying games the Australian School girls will play
the NZ School girls in the Trans Tasman test series and the Australian
Crocodiles (16 and under girls squad) will be playing inter-squad
games as curtain raisers.
Game action will start at 4.00pm with the Trans Tasman test series for the school girls. The crocodiles will play at 6.00pm and 8.40pm each night with the main game starting at 7.30pm. This is a great opportunity to watch the best players in Australia (and the world) at home in your back yard. Information on the night has been placed on the web site www.waterpoloqld.com.au and more information will be passed out at the pools and emailed to players over the next few weeks. I would ask all clubs and associations to start disseminating the information out to your players as this is an opportunity which does not come along to often in Queensland.Tickets prices are as follows; Adult: $10 per night $25 for a 3 day pass Student: $6 per night $15 for a 3 day pass Family (2 adults/2 children): $25 per night $65 for a 3 day pass Group: (10+ players) $5 per player (These group prices must be purchased in advance, no group purchase on the night) Under 10 Free Corporate box facilities will also be available, boxes can be purchased from Water Polo Queensland. Corporate facilities will include drinks and food for 10 people, cushions and cooler for each person and waiter service. Corporate box facilities can be purchased for $550 per night or $1500 for the 3 nights.
