This appointment is for a term of one year and will see Eddie take responsibility for the training and development of all male and female National level goalies around Australia.

Eddie's role will involve:
Attendance at selected senior and junior training camps, competitions and tournaments.
Quarterly travel to the NTC centres in Queensland, NSW and Western Australia.
Regular contact with the NTC centre coaches and goalkeepers plus assistance in writing programs for NTC goalkeepers.
Writing of training programs for Australian Junior and Senior Goalkeepers as required.
Reporting to the Australian Junior and Senior coaches.
Analysis of other goalkeepers from around the world to ascertain their strengths and weaknesses.
Research into current training methods and techniques.

Another key responsibility of the GK co-ordinators position is to teach coaches around Australia how to better develop athletes in the goalkeeping position. Each State association will have the chance to run one of these coach-the-coach clinics in the coming year.

Eddie has suggested the following dates for which he would be available to visit the NTCs starting in late January 2008. These dates are based around Eddie's commitments and travel timetable as the Adelaide Jets National League Women's coach. Please liaise with Eddie directly in regard to dates which will suit you in having him visit your program. Please note that the time during which Eddie is at your NTC will be shared between both Men's and Women's programs. Any suggested dates therefore need to be useful for both the men's and women's NTC programs in each State.
QLD NTC: 28 - 31 Jan
QLD Coaches Clinic: 1 - 3 Feb
NSW NTC: 18 - 21 Feb (post NSW Road Trip); post NL Finals??
NSW Coaches Clinic: 14 - 16 March
WA Coaches Clinic: 21 - 23 March
WA NTC Visit: 24 - 27 March (prior to WA Road Trip)

Finally, could you please send Eddie the contact details for the GK's in your program within the next week? Eddie will contact each GK directly to inform them of his appointment and availability for consultation. Eddie will copy you, as coach, into any correspondence he has with your program athletes.
