The incumbent will be responsible for the overall development and co-ordination of elite athletes and coaches within the Centre Program and provide vision and leadership to ensure that Australian Water Polo achieves international success.

• •    demonstrated ability and experience coaching elite players from varying backgrounds and at different levels of potential;
• •    sound knowledge of international  water polo, trends emerging, and team and tactical skills required to succeed at international level;
• •    high level organisational capacity including established and achieving priority outcomes and developing strategic, outcome based planning;
• •    demonstrated management experience particularly in the area of managing, working with and assisting other coaching staff and specialists sports science staff;
• •    demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to incorporate advice from other professionals working in the program;
• •    well developed communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated in group and one on one counselling situations;
• •    demonstrated ability to analyse player strengths and weaknesses and to develop and implement individual plans with players.
