If so, who and what sports: Father: Neil Brooks (Swimming). He won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the 1980 and 1984 Olympics (Moscow, Los Angeles). He also won 3 Gold Medals at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane and won Gold and Silver at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh. The relay team he competed with was known as the “Mean Machine.”
What made you choose this sport: My love for the water and my intense dislike for swimming (hence, I’m a goalkeeper)
Which person do you most look up to in your sporting career and why: People that I’m aspiring to beat. They keep me motivated and hungry. I also respect my coaches, without their counsel it would be harder for me to improve the areas of my game where it is needed - both in and out of the water. (Andrei Kovalenko, John Fox and Eddy Denis are the main ones).
What are your ambitions both during and after your sporting career: To lead a successful, respect commanding lifestyle. To be a productive working member in society and to lead by example as best as possible.
