Please find attached for your information and attention the following, namely:

(i) copy of Memorandum dated 11 December 2010 and titled "2010 Prohibited List and Consequences for TUE Procedures" from Cornel Marculescu Executive Director FINA. Download here

(ii) copy of WADA 2010 Prohibited List that will be effective as of 1 January 2010. Download here

Clearly the use of Pseudoephedrine and it's relisting needs to be conveyed to our athletes as does the change to the status of Salbutamol and Salmetero.

Important changes to the WADA Anti Doping Code - effective 1 Jan 2009.

From 1 January 2009 significant changes have been made to the process we have previously used for notifying asthma medications and cortisone injections into joints/tendons.   There will no longer be a process called aTUEs (Abbreviated Therapeutic Use Exemptions) which were mainly used for asthma medications. For more information on these changes please read through the Changes to the WADA Anti Doping Code 2009.

FINA Beta-2 Agonist Therapeutic Use Exemption Form  
This form is to be completed by an athlete indentified by FINA in the international registered testing pool and is taking asthma medications (beta-2 agonists).

ASDMAC Therapeutic Use Exemption Form
This form is to be completed by an athlete competing at a National Open level competition and/or has being identified by ASADA's domestic testing pool and is taking asthma medications (beta-2 agonists).

SAL Anti-Doping Policy - Please note that AWPI has adopted the Swimming Australia Limited Anti-Doping Policy.
