Australian Water Polo Inc (AWPI) is seeking expressions of interest from all current (2006) and/or 2007 tertiary students who would be interested in representing Australia at the World University Games- Bangkok 8 – 18 August 2007

In order to prepare and send the most competitive representative team, it is envisaged that a squad will be selected based upon performances in upcoming major competitions. These include national league, national u/20’s, and international competition/training camps up to and including the 2007 senior world championships.

The announcement of this squad will most likely coincide with the completion of the 2007 National League, after which selection camp and training details will be formalized.

The timing of the WUG may exclude a number of players from participation who may otherwise be involved with the national senior and junior teams. However AWPI would like to get a database of all eligible elite players completing tertiary studies in either 2006 and/or 2007.

Expressions of interest can be downloaded from AWPI’s website (refer below) and upon completion should be forwarded by email, fax or mail to AWPI by Friday 1 December 2006.
