DIRECTORS & OFFICERS INDEMNITY

This policy when taken out, protects the Directors & Officers of those clubs and associations that have applied for cover under the AWPI insurance program to protect such persons.

When you give your time and energy to a not for profit organisation, you want to make certain you are not risking your personal or the organisation's financial security.

The policy specifically protects the exposures of club board members and officers in their club roles.

In today's litigious society, even you as a club board member and/or officer run the risk of being personally sued for an extensive list of alleged wrongdoings, such as:

Australian Water Polo Inc (AWPI) has taken out a Sports Injury cover across all of its members whilst they are participating in training and competition. The cover also extends to include officials, coaches administrators and volunteers whilst performing activities on behalf of Australian Water Polo or any of its registered clubs or associations. In the case of Money or Personal Property please follow the following procedure

• Notify the team manager of the loss immediately and request that the loss is reported to the organisers (if appropriate).
• All incidents of theft or disappearance of property must be reported to the local police.
• Make a note of the circumstances at the time, and list all items that are missing, this will help you when you fill in the claim form.
• When the team returns from competition, advise Enrizen Insurance Solutions as soon as possible. A claim form can be downloaded as above.

OPTIONAL CLUB PROPERTY COVER

Enrizen in conjunction with AWPI are able to arrange cover for clubs and/or associations for club property & equipment at a discounted premium.

This policy has been designed to cover the unique risks that your Club may have and which currently may be unprotected.

Should you wish to take this cover up it would include insurance for sporting equipment, outbuildings, sheds, contents, electronic equipment and stock for events such as Fire and other Perils, Malicious Damage and Theft.

This insurance program has a range of effective dates for the policies detailed above. These are as follows:

Australian Water Polo has arranged this insurance program to provide benefits to those registered members who, through injury or accident, incur financial loss and who would otherwise not have received assistance. The program seeks to provide benefits to those most exposed and to maintain protection at the lowest possible cost to membership. It therefore cannot provide 100% cover or a benefit for every loss that occurs. Federal Government legislation prevents insurance companies from paying any insurance benefit for a medical service that is covered by Medicare. This legislation also applies to the Medicare gap. In addition to these policies all members and officials are encouraged to take out Private Health Insurance or additional insurance over and above the benefits defined in this summary.
