signing of star Beijing Olympic Gold Medallist Mieke Cabout (23) of
the Netherlands for the coming 2009/10 season.
Hobart (July 3).— The squad for the "born 89" European tour has been released by Mark Hubbard, the head coach of the squad. Activities include training camps in Croatia, Hungary and Germany and will be over the period 29 August to 16 September 2009.
Men hammer Montenegro; women lose to Hungary at Student Games
Belgrade, Serbia (July 3).— While the Australian men were thumping reigning champion Montenegro, the women lost a heart-stopper to Hungary in day-three water polo action at the World Student Games in Belgrade today.
Rob Maitland to carry flag at Student Games opening ceremony

National Water Polo League Commission comprises five people, two are nominated
by AWPI, and three are elected by the National League Clubs for a two year
term. The term of NWPL Commissioner Phil Bower expires at the next NWPL Forum (he is eligible for re-election). Nominations
are sought for the position of NWPL Commissioner, and close on Friday 24 July 2009.
